let's say all other mons are fainted and it's a solo 1v1 100% health victreebel vs tauros.
Bel has: sleep powder stun spore wrap razor leaf
vs. standard tauros. what is bel's best move?

Interesting material for m9m... I'd just start with Tauros' side: Body Slam+Hyper Beam is the move, imo. The other one is obviously Blizzard+Hyper Beam. So, if Body Slam scores paralysis, Victreebel's Stun Spore is useless. If it doesn't, there's need to compare chances to wake up with chances to miss Wrap (and more Razor Leaf misses in case of Sleep Powder).
Until someone better than me studies this, my heuristic says that Sleep Powder>Stun Spore. Razor Leaf being 3HKO makes it hard anyways.

Solo 1v1? Bel's best move is clearly Sleep Powder followed by Razor Leaf. Assume Bel doesn't get paraslamfullparaed or frozen t1 and your status of choice hits; the chance for Tauros to sleep long enough is ~70%, while the chance for Wrap to hit enough times to get Tauros into Razor Leaf range is ~53%. I guess the potential for crit Wraps bumps that latter one up a little, but not nearly enough.
Of course, then there's the whole argument over whether Bel should be using Hyper Beam.

I'd like to see how much better +2 Venusaur does than +2 Victreebel vs Tauros, assuming the Tauros' team already has something sleeping and Venusaur/Victreebel are running sleep powder / swords dance / razor leaf / hyper beam.

I'd like to see how much better +2 Venusaur does than +2 Victreebel vs Tauros, assuming the Tauros' team already has something sleeping and Venusaur/Victreebel are running sleep powder / swords dance / razor leaf / hyper beam. Tauros is likely to get a 2HKO on Bel with Blizzard + Hyper Beam (96-113%) but not likely to get it on Saur (88-104%); it guarantees a 3HKO on both with Body Slam + Body Slam + Hyper Beam. Bel guarantees the Razor Leaf + +2 Hyper Beam 2HKO, whereas Saur doesn't (97-114%). Bel can also Swords Dance once more and try for a +4 Hyper Beam OHKO (98-115%), whereas Venusaur's +4 Hyper Beam will never OHKO. Crits help Tauros and neither of the plants, since Razor Leaf is already a crit and crits ignore boosts. EDIT: Oh, and it's reasonably likely (93-110%) for Tauros to get a 2HKO on Bel with Body Slam + Hyper Beam, whereas it's impossible vs. Saur.

What about chances for Tauros to win (including SP misses) and to wake up (after SP hit at first attempt) after it paraslammed Victreebel?
