Kabutops becomes a very strong dual stabbed physical sweeper in Plus. He loses STAB on Water attacks, but makes up for it by having boosted Rock attacks and stabbed Slam and Submission. Swords Dance means Kabutops can sweep extremely effectively if allowed to set up. Pick the dome fossil!
Kabutops is another Swords Dance Physical beast, but has the best offensive typing for it, only a few Pokemon (Marowak, Mr.Mime, and others). Kabutops has a lot of weaknesses though, so you have to setup fast and start attacking. Water and Ice moves are still available for coverage, but they may not find their way into your moveset. Paralysis support is important if you want to have Kabutops take on more than one Pokemon. |

Kabutops sees a type change and now has double physical STAB with great coverage. He plays similarly as previously - Swords Dance and attack until you drop. The difference is that he now has STAB moves to support it, higher stats and a different typing that supports him doing it. Rock Slide is powerful as always, Rock Throw is the more reliable option. For the Fighting moves, Slam can cause paralysis on switches you know that you cannot beat (for example, the Nidos resist both his STAB attacks) while Submission has much higher power but also recoil. There's still some Special moves left on Kabutops moveset, but they might not appear on your moveset due to the low Special stat Kabutops has.
