I thought of a fun game for you folk that have played Pokemon TCG. Basically, I setup a scenario and you have to list the steps in order to win before the end of your turn. If you want to post answers, please use spoiler tags so others can solve them too. Puzzle 1: Deck Control: Win the battle before the end of your turn: Puzzle 2: Defeat the super Psychics!: Win the battle before the end of your turn: (NOTE: I made a mistake making this. Assume Rain Dance can be used on Chansey) Puzzle 3: Defend against the tyrants!: Set up your field so there is no way the opponent can defeat you next turn:

IDK if I remember the rules, but I think this should work: 1. Use pokedex to rearrange in the order: item finder, bill, poke flute, gust of wind, fighting energy [arrangement can vary, as long as bill is in the first two and fighting energy is last] 2. use bill 3. use bill 4. use item finder to get bill 5. use bill 6. attach fighting energy to hitmonchan 7. use pluspower 8. win
It would have been less obvious if you didn't have an unnecessary bill in the discard pile to begin with

I'm not too familiar with TCG rules, so bear with me if I make an error somewhere.
So the round starts by drawing a card from the top of your deck, correct? So first you draw the Fighting Energy. Then use Pokedex to rearrange top 5 so that PlusPower is in first 2. Use Bill to draw 2 cards, so that you obtain PlusPower. Equip PlusPower and Fighting Energy to Hitmonchan, then use Jab.

Nerd has it, but I forgot to mention that you don't draw a card at the start, sorry DW. It's not that difficult, but I'll make harder ones if you want. =)

Sounds good. I posted another. I made this one a little trickier but shouldn't be too tough.

Here goes!
Swap out Scyther for Gastly. Use Breeder to evolve Gastly into Gengar. Equip PlusPower to Gengar for kicks. Use Dark Mind. Hit Alakazam for 40 damage, more HP than it has left. Win.

You can't attack benched Pokemon.

1. use pokemon breeder to evolve gastly to gengar 2. retreat scyther and send out gengar 3. use pokemon power to transfer one damage counter from zam to hypno (80hp remaining) 4. use pluspower 5. use itemfinder to get another pluspower 6. use pluspower 7. attack: 30*2 + 20 = 80 damage, hypno faints 8. draw your prize!

Pluspower's damage is added after applying weakness and resistance.
Edit: Misread. Pluspower is attached to Gengar though so you can't get it back using Item Finder until the end of the turn (when Pluspower is sent to the discard pile).

Oh, didn't realize that. 1. Send out Chansey 2. Use pokemon breeder to get blastoise 3. Attach two water energies to chansey 4. use super potion on chansey 5. use itemfinder to get another super potion (discard 2 water energies) 6. use super potion on chansey 7. use super energy retrieval (discard gengar and a water energy) to get 4 water energies 8. give chansey four water energies and pluspower 9. ohko hypno and draw your prize
Except that doesn't work, because rain dance only lets you attach energies to water pokemon. I guess I'm stumped then.

I just realized that now too, lol. I forgot you can't attach Water energies on non-Waters with Rain Dance. >_>
But that's the solution I had ready, just I made a mistake setting it up. I'll double check everything when I make the next one.

Holy hell, do I miss the TCG game. I found my cache of old cards, and to my disappointment it's nothing but a bunch of first-level evolutions (mainly Ponyta and Koffing for some strange reason) and energy cards.

Gengar's attack Dark Mind seems to suggest that it can do 30 damage to a benched Pokemon. If that isn't the case, i request you zoom cards a bit since the small print is hard to read even if I use my mouse to zoom in

Nice idea, too bad these were already solved before I got online. Also, your decks are odd, haha.

Yeah, these wouldn't be realistic for real decks.
Anyway, I made a third puzzle and put more effort into it. I'm pretty sure there's no mistakes this time and I'm pretty sure there's only one solution (I might be wrong though).
It's also a lot harder due to complexity.

1. Use Mr Fuji on Doduo. 2. Use Energy Removal on Zapdos. 3. Use Super Energy Removal on Zapdos, discarding a Psychic energy on Kadabra. 4. Use Itemfinder to repeat step 3, discarding Dodrio. 5. Evolve Kadabra => Alakazam and use PokePower to transfer 10 damage to Articuno, and 10 damage to Mr.Mime.
Edit: MUKKKKK nvm...

mr fuji kadabra away item finder to get fuji back, discard dodrio and zam fuji doduo away super ER on zapdos, discard whatever energy ER on Zard play defender, why not, it's not necessary though (just a red herring to get you to go for zam's Pokemon Power as the solution) Also, trode can't buzzap, 'cause if he does, you take your last prize and win
or not, forgot muk applied to mime for some reason

1. give double colorless to articuno 2. retreat articuno, send out kadabra 3. retreat kadabra, send out articuno 4. evolve kadabra into zam 5. damage swap all damage to doduo 6. mr fugi on doduo 7. use itemfinder (discard defender and dodrio) to get mr fugi back 8. use mr fugi on mime 9. use energy removal on zard 10. use super energy removal on zapdos
nvm i suck

That doesn't work Jorgen. The opponent can use Gust of Wind on Mr.Mime, attach Double Colorless to Zapdos and use Thunder to win.
Edit: Nerd, that won't work either. MUUUUUK!

You can only retreat once per turn, AFAIK.

Actually, Isa, there's no limit on retreating unless you can't pay the toll.

Afraid only the first puzzle works. For the first puzzle - simply use the dex to rearrange #1 and #2 to be Fighting energy and Pluspower. Bill. Attach both to chan and win. Other answers were more complicated than necessary.

Vaerris, you've already drawn a card, and PlusPower is the 6th card in the deck. You need to go through all that complexity to get it.
