It's been half a year already! =D

Time has really flown and we've already been around for 6 months. Let's take a look back at what we've done and what exciting events we've had so far.
March/April
Birth
Ultimately, this started when I wanted to host a tournament for RBY, but that wasn't working out well on GameFAQs, so I decided to make a quick board to host it. Initially, I was planning to just use it temporarily since I didn't want to be competing with GGFan's. However, after some discussion, activity and members bloomed along with Spring, I kept it around.
The OU Tournament
While at first a lot of people were dropping and Pools didn't even get finished, we eventually got this going with the Bracket. Early on, WaterWizard had a rematch with GGFan, which he lost, while nothing else exciting had happened yet. While GGFan had defeated SubSmoke, I was 2-0'd by Nerd (whom I beat in Pools), and was cut out of Winner's Finals. I ended up rematching WaterWizard and barely won, and also beat SubSmoke later in the bracket. In Winner's Finals, GGFan had defeated Nerd 3-0, redeeming himself after the upsets in TOS8, and I had to fight Nerd, once again losing each match and placing 3rd. In Grand Finals, GGFan was rematching Nerd, who was using an UU (Charizard) and won 3-2. Some drama followed and the final set was never played, so both finished as "1st". To date, this is the only tournament where GF2 had to be played, but it didn't happen.
Live Chat
Total garbage.
May/June
Growth
Approaching Summer, we had grown significantly as a community and as players. We had many newer players here including SubSmoke, Crystal and Posthuman all becoming powerful players, and the number of our players also grew. Even GGFan commented on our site's boom. Things were looking up for all. =)
The Arrival ofRaditz Dexter
Missing the OU tournament, Dexter popped by shortly after it ended and wanted to face our players. At the current time, myself, SubSmoke and Posthuman were all also on and we decided to host a quick, mini tournament. Though Dexter did defeated Posthuman using Kabutops, he lost 6-0 to me and then switched to a mono Normal featuring Nidoking team, which also lost. Following that, SubSmoke beat me 2-1 again and won.
The UU Tournament
Again, a rocky start with stupidly huge Pools and multiple drop outs lead to some very exciting sets. While the main idea at the time was to stall with Water Pokemon, Dexter, Crystal and Spies all used more interesting teams and placed in the top 3. Dexter had dominated his bracket using Pokemon like Parasect and Raticate while Crystal had lost the first round but worked his way up to Loser's Finals. We also had our first Smogon guest, Spies who is very talented at UU work through Winner's bracket as well. While there was a lot of hype regarding Dexter vs Spies in Winner's Finals, Dexter had continued his sweeping and won 3-0. Grand Finals was a rematch and came down to the last game with the last Pokemon, but Dexter had won it 3-2. Very exciting and close games.
No Switching Tournament
Nothing exciting; WaterWizard actually won a tournament set and I won the entire thing without losing a game, but otherwise, the world kept spinning.
OMFG TIERS
Along with our growth, many players wanted to begin developing our own tier list. With Zilch running things and everyone arguing on how the tiers should even be done, it got a bit chaotic. Underboss added to a lot of this, but everyone was involved. It was messy, but it showed heavy activity and some quality discussion came out of it. Some...
TBs Pool 2: Nerd, t3h Icy and Underboss
I lost 2-0 to Nerd; no surprise, but what was exciting was Underboss. Underboss made a huge upset in defeated Nerd 2-1 in his first tournament since the major OU one and was against me next. Underboss had won the first game against me 4-0, he was on the verge of taking the set from me and taking 1st Seed, but his Gengar missed Explosion vs my Chansey at a crucial moment. I was able to win the game and with the shift, Underboss made some basic mistakes and lost the third game. Possibly our biggest set turn-around.
Dexter's Streak
After having plowed through the UU tournament and even winning the OHKO tournament, beating Posthuman in Grand Finals who also lost to him in Round 1, it became an inside joke of Dexter's invincibility. After continuing the streak in the TBs tournament through Pools, he met up with GGFan in the bracket. While it was highly anticipated to see if GGFan would be the one to take a game off Dexter, he lost the first game. In the second game of the set, both players came to a Tauros ditto, each with another Pokemon, Dexter had won the Speed tie, CH'd, Paralyzed GGFan's Tauros and he even FP'd, the momentum was demolished and Dexter went on to win the set 2-0.
Shoutbox and Harrison's Server
After how shitty Live Chat was and how many players got sick of the Registry constantly down and issues with the main server, we had both taken care of with a new Shoutbox feature and Harrison hosted a private RBY server. Harrison and I also gave the site a graphics overhaul and redid everything to pretty up the place.
BL Round Robin: Dexter's Defeat
I hosted a quick 6-Player BL tournament with a special Smogon guest, CaptKirby. I had made two amazing comebacks against Zilch and WaterWizard, while nothing else crazy had happened. Until our guest fought Dexter. After a 24-0 game, 13-0 set streak, Dexter finally lost a match to CaptKirby. The main event at the end was me against Dexter, both with 1 loss (to CaptKirby) to determine who would win, and I lost. Badly. The main highlight was no doubt that Dexter lost a game, though he still won the tournament with myself, Zilch and CaptKirby tying for 2nd.
Floppy
Fucking raped.
Mini OU Tournament
Can you say upsets? Barring Spies and Dexter, every match in the opening round had a surprise winner with Posthuman defeating me, Lolita Cute defeating WaterWizard and Inf defeating Dexter, making Loser's Bracket hell. The following in Winner's was more calm, but Loser's turned out to be a mess. I met WaterWizard early again, and continued being his Kryptonite, while Harrison met with Dexter. Before the tournament, Harrison had come back from retirement due to the light popularity of the RBY Server and had beaten Dexter multiple times in friendly matches without losing. He later found out how much tougher players are in tournament and Dexter avoided last place. In fact, Dexter avoided all but 2nd, defeating everyone in Loser's, to meet Posthuman in Grand Finals. Dexter won the first game, but lost the next three, resulting in his first tournament loss since the firs Mini Tournament. This tournament showed a lot of improvement in players, including Lolita, Inf and Posthuman. This also was our last completed tournament to date.
July/August
The Insomniac Tournament
This was going to be the most hyped tournament, with Dexter putting $20 on the line for first prize. This drew in many players, including Floppy, but ultimately, the tournament never happened as Dexter disappeared. This is arguably the point of decline for the site.
*crickets*
While I had decided to spend Summer mostly doing other things and taking a break from RBY, it seemed everyone else did as well. I hosted a Summer tournament, but it seems that nobody had the motivation for it either. While there was an interesting result out of Nitro beating SubSmoke, nothing else had happened.
September
Hey, we're back! While many of our regulars are totally gone such as GGFan, Dexter and Underboss, we've gained a few new ones like Nitro and Pocket. Hopefully after a nice 6 months, we can continue and build on where we left off back before Summer. I'd like to thank everyone that's helped with the site thus far and I really hope we can keep going. Perhaps our September Tournament will spark some interest back... =)
