Just a small thing you can do to make logs much better and easier to read is using Trainer Prefix.
From the main menu, go to Options->Set Options. You'll get a small menu and one of the boxes is Trainer Name Prefix. Make sure it's checked. It's a very small thing you only have to do once, but it makes all your logs much better to read and also is more informative during battle.
