Raichu gains STAB for Surf, (Volt) Tackle, and a nice boost in attack. Slam and Bubble both add some very nice options to her movepool and will help her against the traditional special walls. She functions pretty much the same as always, though she now fears Grasses and loses resistance to Electric. Still, this pokemon is no modest mouse.
Raichu is built as an anti-Water Pokemon, attacking for major damage and taking back neutral at worst except for Blastoise. Raichu also has Physical options to cover Grass and Dragon, and can Paralyzes as always. |

Raichu gets a boost from his new-found Water typing. Now having STAB Water moves, he only fears Grasses and Dragons, as he can hit everything else for at least neutral with his STAB moves. Paralyzing with Thunder Wave is still an important job that Raichu does, and he also has Fighting and Normal options for physical attacking, which hurts coming from 298 Attack. Watch out when up against physicals, as they'll dent Raichu with ease.
