Scyther is super speedy and finally gets some awesome stabbed attacks. Cut and Wing Attack are his standard moves, but Razor Wind pairs best with Swords Dance as it doesn't crit as often. Focus Energy is an extremely powerful move that takes a turn to charge up. But it's certainly worth it, especially if it crits!
Scyther has a lot of Bug options, Wing Attack, and Slash. If you would rather boost Attack, you could use Double-Edge, Razor Wind and Focus Energy instead, or mix them together. Watch the weaknesses and make sure whatever you're hitting is taking heavy damage. |

Scyther isn't changed a lot in terms of stats - instead, the changes come in his movepool. He now actually has STAB moves (!) to start off with. Wing Attack is his only Flying STAB, which is a guaranteed CH. He also has Cut as a Bug STAB, also being a guaranteed CH (and Slash as well!). However, this is not all - he also has Swords Dance and two powerful bug moves that are NOT guaranteed CH's in the form of Guillotine and the mighty Focus Energy. He can also boost his speed with Agility. Care when facing Rocks.
