Lapras has almost no change in stats, but she does gain some nice tools in Plus. The only stat change is a +10 boost to defense, which allows her to continue using Rest effectively. Next, she gets Lovely Kiss, for quite a bit more accuracy than the old Sing. Double-Edge is perfect for the physical side, and Thunder and Solarbeam are definitely options to send other aquatics to a watery grave. Perhaps most important is her new STAB move, Mist! This 100 base attack has priority, so Lapras can strike first when she needs to hit some Dragons. With all this versatility, Lapras is a great option to get you through a tough spot.
Lapras isn't changed much, but has a lot of new options due to metagame changes, such as Psychic, Solarbeam, and may want to use the Water moves now. Mist, Haze and Lovely Kiss give Lapras some new ways to be played, but ultimately remains the same. |

Lapras stays true to her old Water/Ice typing and stays mostly the same, both in terms of her stats and her movepool. Lovely Kiss is now her sleeping move rather than Sing, which makes her a more reliable sleeper. Mist is also available for hitting speedier foes, however, Lapras might have a hard time finding a place for it, as she'd like to run multiple attacks. Psychic is suddenly not too bad of an option to counter the Fightings that hit her for super effective damage, and you might actually want to consider Hydro Pump or Surf to hit the Rocks that aren't weak to Ice Beam or Blizzard. As always, Rest is also an option to let Lapras act like a tank.
