Jolteon gets a buff in defense and an immunity to Ghost, but his main boost is some move buffs. Pin Missile hits Psychics and Grasses for super effective damage, and Thundershock provides a nice special lowering attack to force switches. Quick Attack may seem like overkill, but it helps after Paralysis or against the few pokemon who out-speed. Growth + Thunder makes Jolteon a dazzling force to fight.
Jolteon is a quick sweeper and has a variety of Physical options to support his powerful Electric moves. Growth can bring Jolteon's power to deadly heights and can make the opponent's weaker too when combined with Thundershock. Jolteon is very frail though and can't take most types of attacks too well. |

Jolteon and the other Eeveelutions get a X/Normal typing. For Jolteon, this is mostly good to come in on Ghost attacks. All Eeveelutions have also gained a signature STAB move that has a 30% chance to lower the foes Special. Jolteon is still speedy as ever and remains the second fastest Pokémon, second only to Electrode. His wide movepool includes not only the obligatory STAB attacks and Thunder Wave, but also Pin Missile and Double Kick that have both seen major boosts. Growth can be used if given the opportunity to make your Thunder(shock/bolt) hit even harder, though remember that if you get a CH (which isn't unlikely at all) the boost is ignored. Grounds still make Jolteon quiver with fear, so beware.
