Zapdos gets slight attack and defense boosts, and enjoys the strength in Sky Attack and Fly. Flying is more important in Plus due to the boost in Grass, Bug, and Fighting, so Zapdos will not fall out of use. Zapdos still boasts Light Screen and Flash over the other legendaries. Thunder has increased paralysis and accuracy, which finally makes it a viable, powerful option. Zapdos is still the flashiest bird in the sky!
Zadpos gets minor stat boosts and has significantly improved moves. Otherwise, Zapdos is still your Electric that can fight Grasses superbly. Watch for Grounds. |

Zapdos is almost entirely unchanged. Small stat boosts makes him slightly stronger than previously, and he gets a nice boost to Drill Peck. However, the biggest change for Zapdos is the metagame shifts. He is still walled by Rock/Ground, but since Golem's departure there's now only two of those, and due to the viability of multiple new Pokémon, you're not too unlikely to find an ideal area for Zapdos to operate in. Thunder Wave is still great for the paralysis, Thunderbolt grants him reliable Electric STAB and the same goes for Drill Peck and Flying, and so, the eternal debate about the best fourth move for Zapdos goes on...is it Agility, Reflect, Light Screen, Rest, Fly, Toxic, Thunder? There are multiple options. Experiment!
