Type: Normal/Flying
HP: 307
Atk: 228
Def: 208
Spd: 218 (11.7% CH)
Spc: 214
Overview
Farfetch'd should not be used in OU. His stats are awful across the board, and his movepool is one of the worst in the game. Weakness to Ice and Electric attacks don't help either. On the plus side, Farfetch'd has STAB Slash and Body Slam, and he's immune to Ground attacks. Don't be fooled though, these pros in no way compensate for his flaws.
Moveset
Slash/Swords Dance
Body Slam
Agility
Substitute
Slash will Critical Hit most (but not all) the time, doing decent damage to most things. Body Slam will do less without Swords Dance support, but can be useful for the paralysis chance. Agility compensates for Farfetch'd's mediocre Speed, whilst Substitute can give you an extra turn with paralysis support. Both Swords Dance and Slash may be used if desired.
Alternatives
Farfetch'd's movepool is pretty bad. Sand-Attack is gimmicky, but could work in combination with Substitute. Fly is STAB and gives the slightest hint of type coverage, but the 2 turn nature doesn't help. Reflect is another option.
Counters
Farfetch'd can't touch Gengar and takes a battering from Thunderbolt. Golem/Rhydon take very little damage and OHKO with Rock Slide. Bulky Ice types (Lapras, Closyer, Articuno) can absorb a hit on the switch and threaten a OHKO from Blizzard. Zapdos will OHKO, too. Every OU pokemon will win 1v1, so anything you have available will at least keep Farfetch'd in check, even if they take a bit of damage from Slash.
Conclusion
Farfetch'd is awful. He's like Persian except slightly less powerful, without Bubblebeam or Hyper Beam (or Thunderbolt), much slower and with a weakness to Ice and Electric (and Rock). Oh, and he has worse defences, too. Earthquake immunity isn't that useful as he still loses to anything likely to have it. Swords Dance doesn't really help either as Farfetch'd will be KO'd before he gets to set-up more often than not. There are no reasons to ever use Farfetch'd in OU other than a symbol to your opponent of how confident/arrogant you are.
