From matches I've watched, if people get their, say, Tauros frozen, they seem to just bring it in on something(say Alakazam) and let it die. Now I understand why they do that(frozen Pokemon are useless for the most part), like soaking up a hit for a chain switch, but frozen Pokemon are basically free turns. Your opponent can use them to set up Reflect etc. WHy bring them out, and allow your opponent those free turns?
A frozen Pokemon has still got some worth. It provides you a status absorber, and it provides you a backup Pokemon in case you want to explode to remove your opponent's last Pokemon. Majorly, a frozen mon activates Freeze Clause. With Freeze Clause activated, you don't need to fear freezes any longer,. Sure, RBY has many elements of luck, but wouldn't it be a good idea to at least TRY to minimize the effects on your team, when it doesn't cost you anything in terms of moves/team slots?

Switching something frozen out is always a good idea as long as it's not costing you too much. If you get frozen by an opposing Chansey, that's easy to switch against so it's well worth saving the frozen pokemon there.
However if you're frozen by say a Tauros blizzard it's probably not worth trying to switch something into Tauros just to have a frozen pokemon around.

Catching Explosion or sacrificing a Frozen Pokemon to switch to another are the main uses. You'll very rarely get a chance to switch into a Fire move or Haze. Unless you have a healthy Chansey at this point, or the opponent is using a Pokemon that could Freeze again (their Chansey vs your Alakazam looks possible later in the game), I wouldn't worry about Freeze Clause too much.
I generally would switch a Frozen Pokemon out if realistically possible.

If you're frozen in OU, you've pretty much resigned that Pokemon to the role of decoy. Nothing runs Fire Blast or Haze.
In BL, though, you might be able to catch Moltres on a Fire Blast (though it'll hurt), and in UU you could try to switch into Charizard or Vaporeon's Haze, though Vaporeon herself has been on a steady decline for a while.

There are obviously situations where you've got to sacrifice the frozen Pokemon. What I'm bringing up is a tendency of a lot of players to see that their pokemon got frozen, and sometimes leave it in to die, or other times bring it into random things when your wall can still take it on, for the sake of "wasting PP". This is especially compounded when you bring the Pokemon into Jynx, who will stoss it away, and can potentially engage in another freeze war.

Nitro's right above.
Just be careful if you think the foe has Slowbro or Amnesialax.
And you'll never be unfrozen in OU.
