www.sirlin.net/ptwDavid Sirlin is an oldschool, world-class Street Fighter player that wrote a book about competitive gaming titled "Playing to Win". It's free to read online at the link. I'm an avid gamer and competitor and just finished reading it. I really feel that it put a lot of my thoughts into words and really redefines my ideas and beliefs about competitive gaming. I really think this would be a great read to anyone that likes reading books and loves competing. The topics and principles the book goes over would be very useful for any RBY players here looking to gain a better understanding of what they're doing, and for anyone really that likes competitive games (be it Chess, Scrabble, Magic, Halo, etc). It's very well-written, makes you think and the author is very fluent with what he talks about. Check it out!

It's still up-to-date as far as how useful it is.

Read it. Good read. I've picked three games where I'll redouble my efforts to be a pro: Settlers of Catan (board game) Age of Mythology (RTS) Spades (card game) And of course I'll never slack at my RBY play

It was a while since I played Spades. If I remember how to play, I'd be down for playing you
