No Umbreon or any other dark type is going to make Mewtwo pretty much unbeatable without outstalling it.

It's similar to RBY ubers so far. But Mewtwo is not as good.

I suppose Toxic/Light Screen/Softboiled/Seismic Toss Chansey does it vs. Mewtwo, but...hey, Amnesia sucks now, so that's something. I suppose Tauros isn't as good anymore now that his CH rate is normal and his Blizzard deals pitiful damage. Rhydon got a small boost from Substitute blocking status, which is something. On that note, Sleep is not as good anymore (though still very very powerful), while Toxic is suddenly very viable. Jynx gets a super powerful Blizzard (almost as strong as RBY Articuno, which by the way is not that good anymore). Also surprisingly Hitmonlee might be something, as his Special Defense went from 168 to 318. Gengar takes a hit due to the nerfed Special Defense but gets Ice Punch... Meh. Ban Mewtwo, is my analysis.

Great! I'd like to try them out. Oh, and why wasn't Mewtwo banned in an instant?

Agent Syrup In order to establish a healthy metagame, you should follow allow every pokemon a chance. Auto-bans are often heedless. In this instance, we've found that Snorlax, Mew, and Mewtwo are not overpowered, but they may overcentralize. We'll test a lot more before banning them. Isa good observations. Not sure about Mewtwo yet.

Why snorlax banned? Still no curse.
Actually I think this meta will turn out to be very similar to rby (with tradebacks). No crits, but much stronger explosions. These are the two most relevant changes imo (okay no slowbro too), since freezes will still be almost impossible to recover from. I'd personally like this more the other way around imo; gsc pokemon with rby mechanics and moves.
Edit: Oh I didn't realise about the special split. That could be interesting.

Anyone tried using Magneton yet? Resistance to Electric, Normal, Ice and Psychic attacks seems pretty sweet to me. Obviously the movepool is still pretty shallow and Ground annihilation is always a threat.

I tried Magneton. I gimmicked with Tri Attack, lol. The resistances are very neat, but the offensive power is so-so.
