Basically I got the information wrong and the chance each turn to wake up is: 0 - 1/7 1 - 1/7 2 - 1/7 3 - 1/7 4 - 1/7 5 - 1/7 6 - 1/7
This was wrong: ----- Simple to calculate, since each turn your chance of waking increases by 1/7 more than the previous time. Probability of different length sleep overall though: 0 - 14.3%- 1/7 1 - 24.5%- (1-1/7)*2/7=6/7*2/7=12/49 2 - 26.2%- (1-1/7-12/49)*3/7=30/49*3/7=90/343 3 - 20.0% - (1-1/7-12/49-90/343)*4/7=120/343*4/7=480/2401 (very well approximated by 1/5) 4 - 10.7% - (1-1/7-12/49-90/343-480/2401)*5/7=360/2401*5/7=1800/16807 5 - 3.7% - (1-1/7-12/49-90/343-480/2401-1800/16807)*6/7=720/16807*6/7=4320/117649 6 - 0.6% - (1-1/7-12/49-90/343-480/2401-1800/16807-4320/117649)=720/117649 :] just felt this'd be useful
--- pity since I thought that the second distribution was much more entertaining B]

[15:20] ParaSlam: Func_3d854: ; 3d854 (f:5854) ld [W_PLAYERMONSTATUS],a ; decrement sleep count [15:20] ParaSlam: and earlier a number between 1 and 7 is generated [15:20] ParaSlam: which means (if I understand correctly) that 1 / 2 / 3 ... 7 have an equal chance of happening [15:21] ParaSlam: all that you can calculate given that is "what's the chance I'll wake up next turn" [15:21] ParaSlam: and that chance is 1/7, 1/6, 1/5... I did the above post with the pattern 1/7 2/7 3/7 not 1/7 1/6 1/5.. Crystal_ can you tell me what's correct (or someone?)
