Is counter supposed to keep doubling its damage if the opponent keeps switching?
Start of turn 2 ALLALA called noscoper420 back! ALLALA sent out rude'ish! (Snorlax)
Snorlax used Body Slam! The foe's rude'ish lost 26% of its health!
ALLALA: go not to chansey ALLALA: and then to chansey
Start of turn 3 Raish called Snorlax back! Raish sent out Exeggutor!
The foe's rude'ish used Counter! Exeggutor lost 282 HP! (71% of its health)
Start of turn 4 Raish called Exeggutor back! Raish sent out Chansey!
The foe's rude'ish used Counter! Chansey lost 564 HP! (80% of its health) ALLALA: yeah Raish: yup ALLALA: you were right
ALLALA: about doubling

According to Crystal_'s findings, yes that is indeed supposed to happen.

Metalgross found that
Switching, full paralysis, and using a multi-turn move will not reset the last amount of damage done, allowing Counter to counter itself as well as self-inflicted recoil damage.
SO yeah its legit
