I have a philosophy exam on Thursday, and in one part of the exam I'll be asked about topics like:
How to reach the happiness in our society, and if it's the faith in god what allow us to reach it [this question belongs to the topic of San AgustÃn] How does the doubt, as opposed to the certainty, allow the humanity to progress, and the advantages it has using it in our lives; the doubt can tach us how to think etc. [Descartes topic].
So if anyone is bored enough to think about that, I will appreciate it. =)

I can give you psychological perspectives on this stuff, but I don't think that's what you're looking for. I'm actually going over Descartes soon in a class, but I haven't yet... sorry.
