Psychic, Seismic Toss, Reflect, Recover Essentially, this would give Alakazam the same amount of tankiness, but also giving Alakazam a secondary attack. Usually though, Alakazam works nicely at spreading paralysis, but perhaps if other Pokemon cover Alakazam for that, then this moveset would be superior. Having both would mean Alakazam could win stall wars much easier, could handle Exeggutor and Starmie somewhat better, and have extra PP. On top, when stalling, Alakazam would be less likely to paralyze the opponent and be paralyzed himself, so he could save PP longer (for example, against an opposing Alakazam or Chansey). What do you guys think?

Ya know I was thinking that too. Seismic Toss wouldn't help too much against Starmie and other stuff that can recover but it would be good against Jynx and Exeggutor and stuff like that.
I use Kinesis on it. Nice for lowering Chansey's accuracy while you wear it down and works for other stuff like Exeggutor too.
Wicked picture man. You draw that?

No I can't draw for the life of me. I just put pictures in topics I make so people are amused while they discuss stuff. Ya know? Edumatainment. Or something... Mostly just for fun. There are a lot of cool drawings people have made of Pokemon over the years. Google is your friend. EDIT: I personally don't like Kinesis. It's inaccurate and its effect isn't very reliable. If I did use it, I'd just try to provoke switching with it.

Seismic Toss would allow Alakazam to take on Psychic-types. Stalling Starmie and dealing with Exeggutor/Jynx/Slowbro/other psychics would be much easier. Too bad it wouldn't help with stalling Chansey.
Thunder Wave is very useful though...but I suppose if you had a Starmie, Chansey and Electric-type (and maybe one or two others) with it, Alakazam wouldn't need it.

In my opinion, this set is only useful for walling Eggy. Pyshic is still better against Starmie as in RBY it's both offensive and defensive.
However, I do agree that Alakazam should have a secondary attack for cleaning up after very long stall wars. Only a few people have witnessed the surprise secondary attack of my seldom used Alakazam.

While very situational, Toxic should be mentioned on a modified Alakazam for the sole fact that it's practically a guaranteed win against other Alakazams and Chanseys.

That can work well for forcing switches to break a stall war. Perhaps even a combination of Toxic and Thunder Wave to poison stallers and paralyze the rest. The only problem is Alakazam would be fragile then and Toxic poison goes back to normal after switching.
I like Toxic on Chansey more personally.

This is my opinion of "KinesisZam": Really useful if you need a lot paralysis support because you are using something like Snorlax, Golem, Rhydon or a wrapper as your late-game sweeper. Generally Chansey is the Pokemon that will came on you to take paralysis. With Chansey alive, you won't be able to paralyze anything else with things like Starmie and other Chansey probably the two main paralyzers in the game. With kinesis however, you can force opponent's Blissey to switch out, especially combined with paralysis and maybe spc fells. Then you Thunder Wave the switch. Alakazam is the other "paralysis absorber" when Chansy is incapacitated. Chansey and Starmie will not do anything to it besides paralysis (or trying to a freeze, but Kinesis should help here). Other Alakazam without ST could get outstalled, and Eggy can only explode. If you managed to explode on one of them, then you should be able to pull of this strategy.
I have thinked this espontaneouslly, so maybe it is not good at all, but anyway you are only using a filler slot. Kinesis also works well against the final Pokemon.
