What do you think is the best game of Pokemon in GB/GBC/GBA/NDS? I will vote for GSC. I think there are the more complete games although I don't know how are HGSS.

Can you guess? =)
Actually "n00b GSC" is a ton of fun, but when I learned about how high-level is played out, I lost interest.

I've played Blue at least 100 times through. Such a great game.
EDIT: I'm biased though. I've never played any Gen II or III games, though I would like to.

I'd say the "best" objectively would be Heart Gold/Soul Silver
My personal favorite has always been RBY though. Not sure if it's the nostalgia, the glitches, the crazy game mechanics, or the badass/retarded sprites. Probably the nostalgia.

Crystal was the shit, I logged like over 600 hours of play on that thing with road trips and training in Mt. Silver and the elite four and 16 gym leaders and Team Rocket and the Red Gyarados (my boy) and you could call people to play rematches, and I had my favorite team on there with Houndoom. Houndoom is my favorite pokemon by far out of any pokemon. And the sprites moved, and they had the most developed storyline and you could fight Red and Blue. And there was a good variety of pokemon with almost none of them looking stupid like they start to in RSE and even worse in DPP. And there was the battle tower, which was really hard to beat and alot of fun. And there was an internal clock that created events based on the day of the week and the time of the day!!! The later games don't do that based on the day of the week. They don't make it dark when its 2am. Well in Crystal, they do and its awesome. You can tell its night time cause the ground looks dark and there are bright lights coming out of all the buildings like the pokemon center and nighttime pokemon (like Hoot-Hoot) attack you. And they introduced the most new concepts like Steel and Dark, gender, breeding, and a necessary infusion of new moves like Megahorn and Sludge Bomb to help out the underprivileged types. And catching the lengendary dogs was alot harder than catching the birds cause they would run and you would have to ambush them by going into the right route. It had two regions (Kanto and Johto) in one and most things were still open. And it actually had color unlike Red and Blue, which made the play experience better. Oh and there's no way HeartGold can be better than Crystal because it has all those extra dumbass looking pokemon ruining things. You know, I could go on for alot longer but I will simply end with this:
Crystal FTW!!!!!!!!

I'll never forget when I caught my first non-Gyarados shiny. I was playing late on my Gameboy (Silver) and I saw a Hoothoot and could have sworn it did the sparkly thing. So I caught it and it had the symbol indicating it was a shiny. The next day I went across the street to my bud's place to see what colour it was, and I was excited it was golden.

holy crap you wrote a lot
It wasn't really Pokemon Crystal to introduce the new types and etc., it was Gold and Silver...but I do wish I had played G/S/C back in the day. It's too late now...I'm already in love with R/B.

Crystal had everything Gold and Silver did plus the battle tower, move tutor, moving sprites, etc. So yeah. I personally went from playing Red straight to Crystal so I didn't know what Gold was like at first. Crystal is the best Gen II by far, you don't even have to worry about Gold and Silver. Gen II might as well have just been Crystal. Oh, and you could choose between genders starting in Crystal. Forgot about that. They completed the game they started in Red/Blue before adding alot of the confusing new shit.

My favorite would probably be Crystal. It showed the peak of what the GBC could do with the old Pokemon data, and it really balanced out the game. Plus it looked really, really good (compared to the rest of the games up to that point). RSE, though technically better, wasn't fun for me back then, and I've never played D/P/Pt or HG/SS.
