The complete history of THE Alternative

The last topic was trolled, so here's the new topic per Ice's invitation.

Anyways, for those unsure what THE Alternative is, it's basically a RBY community that I made when RBY activity was tenuous due to RSE. The forum was very successful, spawning a copious amount of tournaments over a 2 year period and received support from other forums.

I view this as a sort of a trial project; that is, I also suggested constructing a history of RBY on GameFAQs, but that project is much larger than constructing the history of THE Alternative, so I'll see where this goes before taking on something much more arduous. With that said:

It was a RP battle: Random Pokemon.

The Pokemon were assigned randomly.

Not really. The metagame hasn't really changed that much from when I started playing. Here were the biggest differences:

-Wrap was viewed as a horrible move
-No official tiers, which meant that UU tournaments were basically: "anything that isn't Tauros or Chansey is allowed."
-NFEs were usually shunned
