Stadium Mechanics

Due to the mess of RBY's true mechanics, Coyotee508 (the main PO administrator and coder) is likely going to implement Pokemon Stadium's mechanics. Perhaps access to the coding will be available (or is available, I haven't really researched it) and maybe someone will code true RBY, but the main RBY mechanics will be Stadium's.
First off, this changes a lot of what the community runs on. While shifting to Stadium-style would just be like learning UU or other gimmicky things we come up with, it would be the main game we play here. Would you folk prefer playing under Stadium's mechanics or sticking with Netbattle Supremacy's true RBY? This is important for most of everything, particularly tournaments, though any current tournaments are to be done on NBS in the event they're still running when PO upgrades. We could easily do both, but having the community in two places is a little inconvenient for players looking for a quick match and just in general.
Secondly, RBYPlus has so far been designed with true RBY in mind. We could wait until someone (or one of us) codes PO to work with true RBY, or we could adjust some things. Hyper Beam's effect and Substitute are the two big ones. While Hyper Beam vs Skull Bash is the attack first instead of second, you can't combo KO Pokemon with Hyper Beam if you're forced to recharge, so it could be debatable where to set its base power at. This also applies to Bubblebeam and Psybeam which have the effect. And Substitute blocking status conditions can really change everything. I think the easiest change would be to remove it as a universal move and only give it to a few. I'm thinking of giving it to defensive/wall/tank Pokemon like Lapras, Cloyster and Chansey, but we'd have to look things over to decide who gets it. I'd also say Mr.Mime as well for game lore and make him stand out a bit more. There's much more too such as Toxicleeching (Grasses and Porygon), Sing-Countering (Wigglytuff) and others that are designed to abuse some of these things.
There are a lot of changes with Stadium mechanics, ranging from many 10% effects jumping to 30% (Bite, Bubblebeam, Acid, etc), Focus Energy permanently quadrupling CH rate (affecting the eons and Nidoking more than most, which means tiers may need redoing), and Hyper Beam being nerfed (recharge on KOs) sets back many Pokemon including Tauros and Snorlax and puts Special Pokemon ever further above. And Substitute blocking status conditions changes the whole Sleep and Paralysis strategy.
Now, we could simply just ignore PO and only use it for RBYPlus, but it would be tricky to continue expanding the community if we block ourselves out. ATQ also wouldn't continue hosting on NBS (I imagine) and I'm not sure if Harrison can handle running two servers (as the one we have is already somewhat unstable at times). It also makes things difficult for visitors to tournaments here and when we go as guests to others.
Mind you, there is a lot of things to think about, but nothing that can be a serious problem. We just have to figure out what directions our community will go. I'm pretty sure someone will code true RBY in PO eventually anyway, but for the time being when there isn't, what do you guys think is best?
